Scope Of Work
Meigs Lodge was a complete exterior and interior renovation of the 3,471 sf historic building on the Lebanon National Cemetery grounds. Work included lead and asbestos abatement, demolition and removal of roofing and soffit, sidewalks, grading, drainage, telecommunications, mechanical and electrical work and complete interior renovation. Demolition, general construction, walls, ceiling, floors, millwork, masonry restoration and new HVAC system were included in the interior renovation. Custom millwork was installed on the front porch and window sills.
Since the building remained occupied during the performance of all work, close coordination was required in order to limit disruptions to staff and visitors. Duct curtains were used during the interior demolition and there was constant air monitoring during the abatement process.
Valiant also worked closely with the VA and staff to plan and coordinate all work to limit disruptions such as noise, traffic and parking issues, to the functioning national cemetery and internments.
Valiant self-performed approximately 45% of this project with its own forces. Not only did they provide all project management and supervision for the project but they also performed all interior demolition, masonry coatings, drywall work and some carpentry.
