Scope Of Work

The US Coast Guard (USCG)  Facilities Design and Construction Center (FDCC) was awarded a Shiplift Expansion at USCG Yard, Curtis Bay, Maryland. This task’s work scope included expanding the existing ship, transferring the platform by adding a third longitudinal rail, and relocating three hotel stations from Rail #2 to Rail #3. It was of the utmost importance to bring the stormwater runoff into compliance with the Clean Water Protection Act, collecting the hydro blast water in a storage tank, and installing a crane foundation for a future tower crane. The Construction Inspector (CI) services awarded to Construction Support Solutions, LLC (CSS), is responsible for contract oversight and inspection on this task order. To ensure that the design/build contractor complies with contract documents.
