Scope Of Work
J.M. Cope was selected from among the bidding contractors based on reputation, competitive price, and high MWBE participation (>20%) at the subcontract level. The 14,510 SF project included conference rooms, administrative offices, and media rooms. The construction methods were conventional structural steel with standing seam and TPO membrane roofing systems. Exterior finishes included cast stone, brick, EIFS, and plaster. Interior finishes were typical for this application and specialty features consisted of book control systems, extensive audio/video wiring, projection systems, and display boards. The project faced significant site challenges including natural springs, rock, and high plasticity soils. J.M. Cope worked closely with the college President and her team to deal with these issues in the most cost-effective manner possible.
