Scope Of Work
This 1,960SF buildout was an impressive collaboration between Xcelerated Concepts, Sodexo, Panera and all of the fine folks at UMW. The team consisted of a global owner, an out of state architect, a corporate giant, and a state-run college adhering to local municipal guidelines. This required immense coordination and attention to detail in order to deliver an extremely ambitious schedule with an added level of difficulty needing to be wrapped up, with a bow, before the Christmas holiday. Final inspections and punch list items were being addressed while working around a team of trainees in a fully operational kitchen.
This allowed UMW to have a grand opening kicking off the Spring Semester, following the New Year. This second-floor build-out consisted of large equipment, custom prefabbed casework, extremely tight site logistics, limited parking, highly coordinated deliveries sharing one loading dock with a fully operational campus food hall, and the only access being a single elevator.
This job site also shared common areas/facilities being utilized by students, at all hours, exemplifying the professionalism, cleanliness, and safety maintained by UrbanCore and our subcontractors.
