Scope Of Work
Chandlee Construction Company signed a contract with JMP Hospitality Group, LLC., represented by Paulo Junior, Managing Partner, on May 28, 2019, for the construction of a new restaurant called Calacas inside the new Omni Hotel in downtown Nashville, Tennessee. Calacas means Day of the Dead.
The Chandlee team for this commercial build-out project was Warren Phillips as Project Manager, Michael McCall as Superintendent, and Mary Chandlee as the Project Administrator. The architect was Powell Architecture and Building Studio and the MEP is DFH Services, both with offices in Nashville, Tennessee.
The scope of this commercial construction project was to create a restaurant within a new shell space of 3,477 square feet located on the first floor of the newly built Omni hotel. Included in the plan are two dining rooms, a smaller private dining room, a bar, a fully equipped commercial kitchen, and public restrooms that are handicap accessible. The space also includes a customer waiting area, storage areas and an office within the commercial kitchen. The Calacas Restaurant is located at 410 Fifth Avenue South.
