Scope Of Work
Lifting a Shop Floor with Polyurethane Foam
Shakopee, MN
Problem
A concrete shop floor in Shakopee, MN had settled several inches. There was a floor-drain in the center of the floor. The settlement caused water to drain to the back of the shop and sit building’s foundation.
Solution
Polyurethane foam injections will quickly and effectively lift and level the concrete floor. Lifting the back of the shop floor will allow for water to properly flow to the center floor-drain. The liquid polymer travels deep into the sub-base, stabilizing loose soils and filling all voids. Any water present under the slab will be displaced by the polyurethane.
Project Outcome
A few penny-size holes were drilled through the sunken concrete floor. High-density, polyurethane foam was injected under the slab, lifting the back side of the floor allowing water to properly flow towards the drain.
