Scope Of Work

Cowan Group Engineering was selected by a national engineering firm via the Oklahoma City Water Utilities Trust in 2012 to provide multiple topographical surveys and survey control for eight (8) major surge tank sites, seventeen (17) minor surge tank sites, and six (6) pump station sites along the 100-mile water pipeline from Atoka Lake to Lake Stanley Draper spanning seven (7) counties. The remote surge tanks and pump station sites were approximately three (3) acres in area with three (3) tanks per site. The topographical survey included locating surface features, valve vaults, tank footings, and property corners and right-of-way markers. The project included working closely with OKC maintenance staff for access and coordination of the topographical surveys. The surveys were completed within the project schedule and budget.
