Scope Of Work

This carriage house was a landmark property near Denver’s Baker neighborhood. It was in it’s original state complete with large holes in the floor and and a garage slab that said horse stable more than four car garage. The plan was to turn this building into the garage that the turn of the century house deserved as well as finish the space above into a guest house. Insite Design Group was contracted for the interior design. WBC Engineering was contracted for the structural engineering. Roger Day Architecture was contracted for the architecturals on the exterior deck.

Building anything in a hundred year old structure is difficult. Add in vaulted ceilings that stop on 3′ of brick and you have some very complicated angles to deal with. For this project we utilized 3d architectural visualizations to clarify design concepts from Insite to the customer and sub contractors. This project features a long leaf yellow pine floor, custom knotty alder cabinets and doors, Caesarstone countertops, and a custom murphy bed.
