Scope Of Work
During one summer recess, our team accomplished and extensive $3.5M renovation for The Trevor Day School’s West Side Campus. We converted an old subterranean parking garage into usable space by decommissioning and removal of car elevators and closure of slab openings. Passageways were created to connect it to adjacent school areas, a complex process that involved dealing with an underground stream, underpinning, shoring, demolition and installation of new structural steel.
We built out new administration areas with offices, conference rooms and meeting rooms. Boys’ and Girls’ locker rooms were completed with locker areas, bathrooms, and new showers. Soundproof music rooms with the necessary sound-rated walls, ceilings and doorways were added as well as an al new separate dining areas for students and faculty.
The kitchen boasts restaurant grade appliances and equipment, walk-in freezers and refrigerators, gas stoves and hood, and fire suppression systems. We installed all new infrastructure: electrical; panel and distribution; gas connecti9ons; distribution and testing; and we fire rated its exhaust systems. Punch list items were fully completed to the schools prior to the school’s re-opening for the fall term.
