Jeff Burks's Bio
Jeff has more than 25 years of experience creating revenue growth and reducing costs within various industries, including construction, technical, and industrial services. He has established, owned, operated, and directed small to large public and privately held companies.
His career includes project and program management in the utility industry for companies providing fuel additives and performance and emission monitoring throughout North America. He served as President and Director of six subsidiary companies for Handex Environmental Resources, a publicly traded national environmental consulting and contracting company servicing major oil and chemical companies. Also, as the Chief Operating Officer of a national consolidated roofing company, he was responsible for 35 offices and more than 2600 employees. He managed daily operations of all field offices, project operations, risk management, service, asset management, and recruitment.
During the past nine years Jeff has provided turnaround management and consulting services including process improvement, cash management, and strategic planning to various organizations.
Jeff is married with three children, two sons and one daughter, and enjoys UF sports.

Karen Damiani's Bio
Karen has over 20 years of experience in the construction industry. Karen joined Latite in June 2017. Previously, she worked as the CFO for eleven years for one of the nation’s top ten roofing and solar contractors. Prior to that, Karen was the Controller for one of Florida’s largest concrete manufacturers. Karen has a BA in Economics from Binghamton University and an MBA in Finance from Florida Atlantic University. She is also certified as a Construction Industry Financial Professional.
Karen spends most of her free time with her family. You can usually find her cheering on her kids at their various sporting events.
Steven J. Struve's Bio
Steve is the Sr. Vice President of Sales and Marketing and has been with Latite for the past 33 years. Steve has more than 35 years of practical roofing experience and has been engaged in all facets of the roofing industry.
During his tenure at Latite Steve has sold, managed or directed the installation of more than 500 Million square feet of roofing installations here in South Florida. He is highly regarded in the contracting community for both his extensive technical roofing knowledge and his unwavering commitment to complete customer satisfaction.
Mr. Struve is an active Board Member, and previous Chairman of the Board, of Associated Builders and Contractors Florida East Coast Chapter which is the largest Merit Shop Contractor Organization in Florida. Steve holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Flagler College.
When not working Steve is likely to be found at a local gymnasium cheering on his teenage son as he participates in both High School and Travel basketball events. Steve also enjoys outdoor activities and is an avid fisherman and hunter.

James A. McDonald's Bio
James is an accomplished leader and military veteran with over twenty years in the roofing industry and twenty-six years in leadership positions. His background includes leadership roles at two of the Nation’s largest and most successful roofing contractors as well as a billion-dollar roofing and sealants manufacturer. He joined Latite at the beginning of 2017 as VP of Operations and brought extensive knowledge in various aspects of commercial roofing to include Single-Ply, BUR, SSMR systems, and protective roof coatings/restoration systems.
Since joining Latite, James has quickly immersed himself into the Latite culture and continues to focus on a results driven philosophy as the Latite team navigates through the ever changing and always challenging Florida roofing environment. While very comfortable leading from the front, he prefers to lead from the rear and believes heavily in hiring quality personnel, training them properly and getting out of the way and letting them do their job.
James enjoys spending time with his family (beautiful wife of 23 years, two married sons and three grandchildren), all things Florida Gator related, competitive paintball, diving, and NL Texas Hold-em.
Scott Thompson's Bio
Scott Thompson has over 20 years of experience in roofing, construction and service based industry. Scott began his career with Latite Roofing & Sheet Metal in 1998 as a Commercial Re-roof Accounts Manager and worked his way up to Vice President of Re-roof & Customer Service, Re-roof Operations Manager then to General Manager of the Tampa division. Scott serves on the company’s executive and strategic planning committees and has played an instrumental part in a wide variety of high profile and landmark roofing projects in Florida. His diverse experience ranges from the single family residence to high-rise facilities, office buildings, entertainment facilities, convention centers, and casinos.
Prior to joining Latite Scott worked as a General Manager for Sears Termite & Pest Control in numerous locations throughout Central Florida. Scott’s responsibilities and influence extended throughout all areas of the organization including strategic planning and execution, customer and employee retention, sales management as well as operations with a strong emphasis on customer service.
