Scope Of Work

Looking to set the right tone for their most recent upgrade to the Club Level experience, Mpressions was asked to create dimensional lettering to help accent the character of Honda Center’s newest amenity called The Wine Cellar. Set amongst impressive stone walls lined with temperature-controlled wine storage units made by Sub-Zero, The Wine Cellar will feature bottles of red and white wine as well as champagne.

People with Club level access are able to come into The Wine Cellar and order any of the bottles on display. Sommeliers will decant your bottle and allow you to take your carafe back to your seat. 

An extraordinary area like this requires some extraordinary lettering. Working with the talented designers at Honda Center a logo treatment was presented and Mpressions came back with full-sized templates and lettering samples. Once the final size was determined and the type of lettering agreed to, production began on three sets of the lettering.

Cut from ½” aluminum stock, each of the letters were anodized a satin black color. The larger pieces had beveled edges that were polished and the sign faces were given an brushed aluminum finish. Within these larger pieces, the lettering was cut out, or recessed, then hand painted to create the depth look our client was seeking. 

The uneven surface of the rock created some installation challenges, but our professional installers handled them with ease. The end result is incredible, worthy of the atmosphere in The Wine Cellar at Honda Center.
