Scope Of Work
The new Liberty County High School is approximately 80,000 SF of new construction and 11,600 SF of an existing building that was repurposed and relocated to the new site.
As the project began in early October 2018, Hurricane Michael ripped through the Panhandle and essentially changed everything. Through the help of our state government and the Liberty County School District, additional funding was allocated to make improvements to the school project allowing it to serve as a SAFE SHELTER for Liberty and surrounding counties in time of need. The project was steered back into redesign and as a result we now have a facility built to some of the most stringent building codes our state has.
Team Culpepper was able to provide our service to assist in rebuilding and repairing the districts damaged property while ongoing redesign took place. There were many obstacles along the way with the biggest being availability of materials and equipment, trying to maintain pre-storm costs and not feel the weight of rising costs due to the post hurricane conditions. We were able to maximize every extra dollar ear-marked for our project, which is of great importance to delivering a finished product that meets and exceeds the expectations of the end users. Construction resumed and the staff, students and community are now enjoying the new home of the Liberty County High School Bulldogs.
