Scope Of Work
This job was awarded as part of the massive Arroyo Chico flood control project. Work included the demolition and the excavation of a 20-foot-deep basin and the installation of new grass-turf varsity-level playing fields. The new drainage basin is designed to hold waters from up to a 100-year flood event for a maximum of three hours. The design incorporates the construction of an overflow weir structure that also acts as a set of bleachers for the Tucson Unified School District.
