Scope Of Work
The Mount St. Helens Sediment Control Dam is located on the North Fork of the Toutle River, 22 miles west of Mount St. Helens in Washington State. The dam was constructed to prevent sediment deposition in the Toutle and Cowlitz Rivers following the Mount St. Helens volcanic eruption in May 1980. Granite provided the complete construction quality control organization during construction. The project involved excavation, zoned embankments, aggregate and concrete production, structural and roller-compacted concrete work, and structural steel outlet works fabrications.
