Scope Of Work
This fast-track design/build project constructed 7.1 miles of roadway in a switchback configuration and 3.5 miles of primary border fence along the US–Mexico border. There were rigid scheduling demands, requiring both swift design and mobilization of workforces, with remote site access. The project presented many logistical challenges, including organizing personnel, equipment, materials, and safety. Environmental challenges included endangered species, extreme temperatures, excessive wind, fire risks, steep slopes, low visibility, and flood-prone terrain.
