Scope Of Work
This project involved the reconstruction of approximately 8 miles of highway and the addition of a third lane in each direction. Work included 13 vehicle bridges, interchange reconstruction, and extensive public and private utility relocations. The work had to be completed amid heavy traffic and called for careful planning, as the alignment runs through an environmentally sensitive wetlands area and a residential community. This project was awarded the NPHG 2007 National Achievement Award and in 2005 was ranked first in the annual “Top 10 Roads” by Roads & Bridges magazine.
