Scope Of Work
This project involved the design and the construction of freeway improvements on 7 miles of Phoenix’s I-17, from Thomas Road to Peoria Avenue. The scope included modifying northbound and southbound lanes to provide high-occupancy vehicle and auxiliary lanes. Additional work entailed replacing two bridges, painting concrete, irrigation and landscaping, constructing sound walls, and working on an extensive segment of the state’s Freeway Management System. This project won the 2001 Marvin M. Black Partnering Award.
