Scope Of Work
The project involved the reconstruction of the existing Taxiway K, the busiest taxiway in DFW airport, and included concrete removals, grading, drainage, lime, aggregate base, asphalt permeable base, concrete pavement, striping and lighting. Originally slated for 16-month duration, Granite was able to complete work 81 days ahead of schedule due to several innovative construction methods. The project was awarded the 2007 ACPA Silver Award for Quality in the Commercial/Military Airport division.
