Scope Of Work
This project included the construction of runway 16L-34R and associated taxiways, including demolition, underground utilities, earthwork, asphalt and concrete paving, fencing, and airfield electrical improvements. Flight checks took place less than a year from project start; and with final commissioning, DFW Airport’s seventh runway made it the most active airport in the world for takeoffs and landings. This project won the American Concrete Pavement Association’s Pavement Award – 1997.
