Scope Of Work
The 6th Avenue Vent Plant project required Granite to work in a congested midtown Manhattan location, which required significant coordination with municipal agencies and local businesses. The project involved the construction of two vent plant structures and the replacement of four existing fan plants using cut-and-cover construction methods. The new 6th Avenue vent plant is 220 feet long and 28 feet wide and extends 50 feet below the street level.
