To accommodate an increase in packages being mailed in the Cincinnati area, the United States Postal Service (USPS) leased a more than 230,000 square foot industrial building in Springdale, Ohio to serve as a sorting facility. The Springdale facility opened in July 2018 and has around 100 employees. At the time of contract award, the building was in operation with the use of rented HVAC units and temporary restroom facilities. The project was constructed while the facility was fully occupied and operational 24/7. Close coordination with the Owner was required to allow for uninterrupted postal operations.
Robinson’s scope of work for the project included:
New offices, restrooms and breakrooms

The facility features a number of large machines used for sorting packages, 32-foot clear height, 24 dock doors, 193 car parking spaces, and 30 trailer parking spaces.
