Scope Of Work

Over the past few years, Glen Oaks Community College has experienced chronic leaks through their green roof system.  GOCC chose Arisco to repair the roof from water infiltration.  The waterproofing system used was Laurenco, of which Arisco is a certified installer for the material.  We removed the overburden to the concrete plaza deck below at the entire perimeter, trucking the soil off site.  Once the overburden was out of the way, Arisco installed a new Laurenco system, with new insulation, protection board,  drainage panel.  We then installed landscape fabric and new overburden, using a sandy mix to aid in drainage, complete with a new irrigation system.  New copings were installed around the entire perimeter as well as restoration to the existing hand rail system.  Throughout the project, Arisco had worked closely with Soil & Materials Engineers to make the necessary repairs.  In conjunction with the waterproofing repairs, Arisco also made extensive repairs to the front entry tower, including flashing restoration, tuckpointing, coping work, washing, sealing, and new sealants.  The existing corridor skylights were also replaced with a new and improved system to stop leaks and provide better energy conservation.
