Scope Of Work

O&G Industries was engaged as a Construction Manager by Yale-New Haven Hospital in April 2012 to manage the remodeling of an existing four-story office building to create a comprehensive ambulatory care center. The new building includes a walk-in/primary care center to provide medical services from injury care to management of chronic conditions; a Smilow Cancer Hospital Care Center for outpatient medical and hematological care; and an Inflammatory Disease Center for patients with multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis and related disorders. The facility also offers onsite MRI and digital X-ray imaging, laboratory and blood-draw services. In addition, Yale-New Haven Health System consolidated some of its information technology offices from multiple sites in New Haven to the North Haven facility.

The Hospital planned for the new facility to open in January 2013, with the IT Department occupying the top two floors by early October 2012.  O&G stepped up to the challenge of this tight schedule and budget which included the complete remodeling of over 96,000 SF of the original 120,000 SF building.  O&G worked closely with Cannon Design and the Owner to create a design, bidding and construction schedule that would achieve these very aggressive dates. Work commenced on site in July 2012; the IT Department moved in to their new areas in October and the project was completed and opened to the public in January 2013, as originally required.
