Scope Of Work
MCCI was retained by Enterprise Rent-A-Car to help them through the design, approvals, permitting and construction process for a new type of maintenance facility. The building was designed for economy and efficiency with added insulation, radiant slab heating, and additional infrared heaters at the garage doors. Additionally there is radiant snow melt at the fuel island, which keeps the fueling area clear of ice and snow thereby excluding the need for snowplow maintenance around the gas tanks. The carwash uses 100% recycled water, which nets about 5 gallons of waste water per washed car, compared to an average of 65 gallons if not recycled.
In the first few months of operation, ERAC headquarters deemed this facility the cleanest and easiest to operate in the country. They have since taken the concept created within MCCI to become the standard for others to follow.
