The Challenge
The Casino had a carrier DAS system which was originally designed and partially installed by another company which closed its doors prior to completing the installation. The challenge was to complete the system utilizing the existing coax and passive devices. installed parts and provide and installing the necessary missing components.
The Solution
WAC tested the previously installed cables and components to confirm that the installation met the manufacturer’s specifications. Based on the test results, a new design was created which made use of the existing cabling and passive devices. WAC then installed active equipment and components and provided insight as to the missing components, finishing the system. Utilizing the existing components allowed WAC to complete the system at a minimized cost to the customer.
WAC’s Role
WAC completed the testing of the currently installed system and engineered the areas of the DAS system that were not yet installed. Wireless Applications Consulting managed the installation of all missing cables and installed the missing active and passive components to complete the cellular coverage system. Wireless Applications Consulting then commissioned and tested the completed system as well as provided support to the customer during the cellular carrier’s integration into the system.
