Scope Of Work

St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish engaged Firm Ground to reorient and update their existing sanctuary space. Located in a mid-century church originally built in 1960, the flow of St. John’s sanctuary was changed by a 1993 update that added a gathering space and new main entrance at the front of the church, behind the existing altar. Firm Ground assisted St. John’s in flipping the orientation of their sanctuary 180 degrees so that parishioners now enter from the back of the church, in addition to integrating interior design work for a new altar to create a beautiful and comprehensive solution that maintains the beauty of the existing building, while improving the flow of the space. St. John’s sanctuary remodel completed in time for them to celebrate Christmas of 2018 in their beautiful new sanctuary.
