Our Story
In 1883, after purchasing the firm known as Peck & Tyler, a manufacturer of steam traction engines located in Jordan, New York, MACK BROS. Boiler & Sheet Iron Works was founded by James Lot Mack and moved to Syracuse, New York. James Lot Mack and his brother, George L. Mack, operating under a partnership, were engaged in the manufacturing of custom made steam boilers, unfired pressure vessels, smoke stacks, ducts, water and air receiver tanks, in conjunction with a boiler and unfired pressure vessel repair service.
The legacy of Mack Bros. lives on— We have been in business for 140 years this year. Over the decades, the company has established itself as not only just a leader in the industry, but a staple in the community— developing new techniques and technologies that have transformed the way steel is manufactured and utilized. Our products have been used in countless construction projects and infrastructure developments, artwork and so much more. The company's enduring success is a testament to its unwavering dedication to excellence and its ability to adapt to changing times while remaining true to its values.
