KSW Construction Company opened its doors in 2005, with the ambitious goal to start a different kind of commercial construction company serving Madison, which is now located in Verona, where the long term professional relationships with their clients was of the highest value. This meant that KSW wanted to be behind projects where clients were provided an efficient service, reasonable pricing, and quality workmanship. They wanted to build projects that met the individual identities of their clients’ businesses, instead of building fast, low-quality, projects that didn’t have the personality of a signature KSW Construction project. As a family owned and operated company, we believe that family comes first, which is why we treat our employees and our clients as family. It is for this reason, in just 10 short years of business, KSW has grown into one of the premier, mid-sized commercial construction companies in Madison. KSW is excited about its new location at the new development in Verona, off Hwy M at Exit 79, and can’t wait to start working on projects in our new home. Our History At A Glance:

2005: KSW Construction opened it doors. Started by the entrepreneurial Dean Slaby, who was later joined in 2006 by his brother Doug Slaby. Their vision was to create a commercial construction company based upon efficient service, reasonable pricing, and quality workmanship.

2010: KSW relocated it offices to McKee Road and Seminole Hwy in Fitchburg, to better suit its staff and allow for future growth.

March of 2015: KSW relocated their office, once again, to a new commercial retail development in Verona, WI. Our new corporate office offers much more room for advancement and growth potential! We are so excited to see what the future holds for KSW.

From the very first meeting to moving in, we know we're not successful unless our clients are. The KSW Construction team cares about your vision of the project. That means we take every precaution to ensure that vision is achieved. At the same time, we know every client has a budget and timeline they need to adhere to, and we do everything possible to make sure every project stays on track, saving clients both time and money. Throughout the process, we'll be here to answer your questions and handle any problems that develop. To make it easier for our clients, we view the building project as a three stage process.

• Stage One: Taking Your Vision and Bringing it to Life. At this point, you, the architect and engineer, along with our team of contractors work together to make sure your ideas start taking shape. We'll ask questions like what type of space do you anticipate needing, not only today but in the future? Next, we explore your proposed budget to get an idea of what we can accomplish that adds value to the project. If you're planning on leasing a portion of the building, we'll need to get an idea of the total space being utilized by both your company and any tenants. If you've got a wish list, we try to incorporate as much as we can into the project while still sticking to the budget.
• Stage Two: Going Through the Bidding Process. Here's where we find out if the project is feasible as outlined in the planning stage. While our early involvement will most likely mean we'll see figures in line with our (and your) expectations. If any revisions are needed, we walk clients through the process to ensure none of the changes negatively impact the project objectives.
• Stage Three: We Build Your Dream. This is where all of the planning really shows. The KSW Construction team monitors every step of the construction and keeps you, our client, informed of the project's progress. Our goal is to make sure the project is completed on time and within budget. Of course, the project must also meet all of your expectations.

Every step of the process is important, and we're always available to answer any questions. You'll also have a single person to contact if any problems develop or if you just want to know how things are going on a specific day.
