Scope Of Work
After previously working for the owner on the ellipse dome we were invited back to do the interior plastering on this magnificent residence. We decided to work with our three coat veneer plaster system because this home was so well built that gypsum plaster on the walls was unnecessary. Our veneer system is so hard the when we strike a trowel to the base coat it will actually spark.
In the main salon we applied a Marmarino & Travertine plaster to the walls and in another area of the house we applied a bright blue Venetian plaster to the walls.
In all we would plaster almost 60,000 sq/ft of veneer plaster to the walls & ceilings and an additional 6.000 sq/ft of Italian plaster.
There were numerous elliptical arches throughout the home as well as elliptical niches; we would make numerous templates in order to achieve the shapes. It was a fun and challenging project for our men!
