Scope Of Work
The scope of this project involved demolishing a portion of the existing tow tank within the building and enlarging the tow tank to an overall length of 313 ft and a width of 16 ft. The tolerances in deviation for the overhead steel track, supports, and concrete over the length of the tank were stringent. This particular towing tank is one of the fastest in the world capable of speeds up to 100 ft per second. There are only a few of these facilities located throughout the world, and we were fortunate enough to be selected to construct this facility for Stevens Institute of Technology.
