Scope Of Work
Construction services for a 50,000 SF Hannaford supermarket. Hannaford calls this structure a "learning laboratory" for their other stores and green construction. Total waste diverted from landfills was in excess of 95%. Over 70% of the wood products are FSC certified. The store uses 50% less energy than a typical supermarket. It includes a refrigeration system that uses 50% less refrigerant gas than traditional system. It also has the largest solar panel array in Maine at 41 kilowatts. In addition, this building also features a 7,000 SF green roof. The project achieved LEED® Platinum certification.
