Bill Heifner's Bio
As founder and president of Renier Construction, Bill Heifner has built a reputation for exceeding customer expectations and providing service with integrity.
Heifner oversees general management and customer relations for Renier. He believes with each new customer comes the opportunity to turn a business relationship into a personal friendship, which explains why the majority of Renier's annual business is made up of repeat customers and referrals.
Heifner founded Renier in 1980 as a one-man operation, specializing in industrial and commercial construction. His first major project was a $1 million contract with American Electric Power. Renier's list of clients today includes such companies as Germain Motor Company, Byers Automotive, MPW Industrial Services and Dayton Freight Lines.
Providing on-time and on-budget service is Heifner's philosophy. His personal commitment to the company philosophy has solidly established Renier's reputation for high standards, and led to its expansion into the retail, automotive, commercial, industrial and office service markets. Heifner's commitment to integrity is one of the reasons why Renier was chosen as the winner of The Better Business Bureau's Business Integrity Award.
A former trustee of Columbus College of Art & Design, the Rahal Central Ohio Children's Charity and Heartland Bank, Heifner currently serves on the board of the Columbus Regional Airport Authority. He also is involved with The Buckeye Ranch charity and was named to the Junior Achievement Central Ohio Business Hall of Fame. Most recently he was awarded the national Distinguished Design-Build Institute of America Leadership Award.
Prior to founding Renier, Heifner worked in project engineering, research and sales for United McGill Corp., a specialty manufacturing firm. Heifner served in the U.S. Army and completed a tour in Vietnam. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from Ohio University and resides in Jefferson Township.
Brian Reynolds's Bio
As Project Executive and Director of Preconstruction Services, Brian Reynolds brings over 20 years construction and architectural experience to Renier's clients. Reynolds is responsible for executive project management, overseeing the development of design and construction documents, as well as maintaining and expanding services offered by Renier throughout the design-build construction process
Reynolds, a graduate of The Ohio State University, joined Renier's team in 2019. Prior to that, Reynolds worked for Architectural Alliance on numerous projects for such clients as Germain Jaguar Land Rover of Easton, Germain Lexus of Easton Service Center, Lexus of Dayton, Buckeye Toyota, Hugh White Honda, Georgesville Nissan, Mountaineer Automotive Ford Lincoln, Germain Toyota of Columbus, Germain Toyota of Sarasota, Mark Porter Chevrolet Buick GMC, Byers Chevrolet of Grove City and Auto Assets.
Reynolds resides in Upper Arlington with his wife and two teenage children.
Joe Ross's Bio
Joe Ross has worked in the construction industry for more than 30 years. He joined RSI as a steel erector and found a passion and vision to lead projects and crews to maximum efficiency and potential. Ross was promoted four times throughout the next fourteen years.
From foreman to field operations manager he has had the opportunity to work in numerous aspects of the business.
Ross was promoted to vice president and general manager in 2001 and has diversified RSI's field services to include ACM panel installation, metal roofing and retrofit services.
Prior to joining RSI, Ross served six years in the United States Navy Seabees as a builder in the Naval Mobile Construction Battalion. Ross served tours of duty in Spain, Portugal and Guam as well as public works duty in Boston, Port Hueneme, California and Gulfport, Mississippi.
Ross is a member of the Builders Exchange of Central Ohio, is a volunteer coach and mentor with the Boy Scouts of America, and participated in the construction of Camp Oty'Okwa to benefit Big Brothers-Big Sisters of Central Ohio.
Neal Bronder's Bio
As Vice President and Chief Executive Officer, Neal Bronder brings over 40 years construction experience in commercial, industrial, and multifamily projects to Renier's clients. Bronder is responsible for executive project management, oversight of pre-construction, estimating services, contract administration, as well as planning and construction of facilities.
Bronder, a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania, joined Renier's team in 1989 and in 2012 was promoted to Project Executive. Prior to that, he served as a Project Manager, Senior Estimator and Manager of Operations during his tenure at Renier. He has worked as a foreman, superintendent, estimator, project manager and project executive on projects located in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, Indiana, Minnesota and Arizona. Bronder has had profit and loss responsibilities for industrial, commercial and multifamily projects ranging in value from three million to over twenty million dollars.
Bronder's commitment to Renier's philosophy of integrity encompasses all facets of his professional endeavors, as well as his involvement in community and volunteer organizations. He is actively involved with The Hilltop Commission, YMCA Family Shelter, Hilliard Food Pantry, Water Missions International, Abundant Life Lutheran Church and his long-standing service with The Boy Scouts of America.
Tom Rice's Bio
As Sr. Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Tom Rice is responsible for the Field Operations Team including all Project Managers and Project Superintendents. His responsibilities include overseeing all day-to-day field operations activities, quality control, scheduling, coordinating project assignments, as well as the company safety program.
Customer relations are an important part of the construction process and both clients and colleagues appreciate Rice's hand-on dedication and support that help ensure the success of each Renier project. The company goal of "total customer satisfaction" is his focal point on all projects.
With over 30 years experience in the industry, Rice brings a multi-faceted background in construction including foundation installation, steel erection, roofing, siding and finish carpentry. He also has 15 years estimating experience which includes industrial warehouses, manufacturing plants, water and waste water treatment facilities, office building, auto dealerships, transportation facilities, restaurants and a variety of retail buildings.
Rice is a member of the American Society of Professional Estimators and the AGC Carpenter Apprentice Program at Columbus State Community College. He is an Ohio native and currently resides in Bexley.
Estimating, Purchasing & Preconstruction
Debra Hunt's Bio
As a member of Renier's estimating team, Debra Hunt, LEED® AP works as a conceptual Design-Build estimator on a wide variety of commercial and industrial projects. She is responsible for developing cost proposals and budgets for the projects including cost estimating in accordance with standard construction system costing.
Hunt brings over 35 years of experience in the industry contributing her expertise to projects across the United States from several million to well over $100 million. Her project work has garnered her multiple awards including a $137 million LEED® Platinum Certified project. Additionally, she's received recognition from the Architects Society of New York AIA for cost estimating and the Architects Society of Ohio AIA for finish selections and relocation and renovation of historical properties.
Her extensive experience in cost analysis, project documentation and presentation, combined with her interior finish and Design-Build background give her a diverse and wide ranging skill set for Renier's estimating team.
Hunt is a LEED® Accredited Professional as well as a certified National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ). She is member of The Construction Specifications Institute and the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), and lives in Westerville, Ohio.
Steve Giere's Bio
Senior Estimator Steve Giere, LEED® AP, utilizes his experience in pre-construction and value-engineering to serve commercial and industrial clients in the preparation of budgets through to final cost estimates. He has an extensive background in the budgetary process for projects of all sizes, including large and complex inititatives.
Giere brings 30 years of construction estimating experience to Renier, has worked for some of the largest, and most respected commercial construction companies in the Midwest, and has experience in multiple industries including healthcare, higher education, research, office, recreation, retail and industrial.
Giere earned an A.S. in Civil Engineering from Columbus Technical Institute, an A.S. in Construction Engineering & Management, and an A.S. in Environmental Design & Engineering from Columbus State Community College. He is a LEED® Accredited Professional (AP) through the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).
Giere is an Ohio native and currently resides in Westerville, Ohio.
Operations
Brian S. Ritchey's Bio
Project Manager, Brian Ritchey oversees the entire job site and supervises the design-build process enhancing the efficiencies in constructability and mitigating any unnecessary costs. He’s responsible for handling schedules, quality control and cost management of a project from start to punch-out.
Additionally, he directs weekly owner meetings and communication to all project team members regarding the project, and plans all construction activities around currently occupied facilities to maintain owners’ day to day operations when needed.
Ritchey joined the Renier team in 2018, and brings over 18 years of experience in the industry with him. He has managed projects in the United States and Europe including fast track retail renovations, multi-story commercial, to centuries old historically protected European buildings – and with budgets upward of 200 million. His diversified background and experience give him a valuable perspective and insight into the project from preliminary development and design through the project closeout.
Ritchey received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from The Ohio State University, and is an active member of their Civil Engineering Alumni association. He also is involved in both the United Way of Central Ohio, Grace Polaris Church, Star House for Homeless Youth and Pelotonia. He and his family currently reside in Lewis Center, Ohio.
Dan Chamberlin's Bio
Dan Chamberlin has over 37 years of experience in the construction industry and brings a diverse background with an understanding in multiple facets of construction, from sales & design to project close out & punch lists.
As a Project Manager, he works with the team on projects from the initial design phase on, generating and updating schedules, approving submittals, and tracking the project budget by holding monthly owner meetings. Additionally, he coordinates communication between owners and the architects, approves change orders and manages the project through to close out and then prepares the comprehensive project manual for the owner.
Chamberlin joined Renier in 2014 as a Project Superintendent and was soon after promoted to his current position as Project Manager. He has worked on numerous commercial & residential projects throughout the South and Midwest including warehouse & manufacturing, religious, medical & office facilities, as well as retail and shopping centers. With his additional background in sales & design of pre-engineered buildings coupled with the construction project experience, he offers valuable perspective and insight into projects from multiple perspectives.
He resides in Westerville and enjoys spending his free time volunteering with numerous youth ministry groups.
Dave Gawel's Bio
Dave Gawel joined Renier in 2012 as a Project Executive specializing in automobile facilities & Business Development. His responsibilities include management and development of Renier's automobile clients, developing and growing a prospect network, identifying those prospects that are considering facility upgrades, and promoting Renier through existing current relationships with trade groups, manufacturers and dealers.
Gawel brings 38 years of experience in the automobile industry to Renier, including management at the manufacturer level, as well as over 30 years of experience in dealerships as owner/dealer principal and sales management.
Having been involved in multiple community organizations, Gawel's commitment to his community is clear with not only his involvement with these groups, but serving leadership roles as well. He is the past President of the Rotary Club of Gahanna and a former Trustee of the New Albany Chamber of Commerce. He volunteered in the Gahanna School District as a reading tutor and resides in New Albany.
Karl Hasenstab's Bio
As Vice President of Operations, Karl Hasenstab brings over 31 years of construction experience to Renier’s clients. Responsible for Renier’s construction team, Hasenstab’s focus will be to oversee the day-to-day operations, including project safety, schedule, quality, and budget management throughout the design-build construction process.
Hasenstab, a graduate of Akron University, joined Renier’s team in 2020. Prior to that, Hasenstab worked for Continental Building Company on numerous projects throughout the Central Ohio region. Hasenstab is a member of BX of Central Ohio, Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio, and HOPE Works. He currently resides in Gahanna, Ohio, with his wife and two teenage children.
Ken Crossley's Bio
As a Project Manager, Ken Crossley is responsible for meeting project objectives, controlling costs, and managing schedules for the greatest efficiency, as well as providing supervision and direction at the jobsite for implementation of safety, manpower and materials.
Additionally, he assists in coordination of information between the architects, engineers and owners, and leads the on-site team promoting delivery of the maximum level of quality in the most cost-effective manner.
Crossley joined Renier in 1996 as a Project Superintendent working on industrial and commercial projects, and also served as an Estimator prior to shifting over to Project Manager. His diversified background and experience give him a valuable perspective and insight into the project from preliminary development and design through the project closeout.
Crossley retired from the United States Navy Reserve after serving 25 years in the Seabees Construction Battalion, as an Engineering Aid which provided surveying, materials testing and drafting services for the unit. He served three recent deployments in Kuwait, Bahrain and Spain, as well as duties in Guam, Alaska and Mississippi. He is actively involved in multiple organizations such as Camp Chase, Columbus Westside Running Club and the Capital Area Humane Society. Crossley is an avid half-marathon runner and resides in Columbus.

Kyle Prince's Bio
As a Project Manager, Kyle Prince is responsible for overseeing a job from development, design and planning to final punch out including project schedules and budgeting reviews, architect interaction, as well as subcontractor and client project tracking.
He reviews project schedules and budgets bi-weekly with clients, evaluates all submittals and coordinates approval with architects and engineers, tracks and executes all change orders for subcontractor or client and prepares monthly invoices. Additionally, he leads all job meetings with the client and follows-up with meeting minutes, and compiles and delivers Operating & Maintenance Manuals to the client after job completion.
Prince began his career at Renier as an intern while attending The Ohio State University. After earning his Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Systems Management he joined Renier as a full-time employee. He has OSHA 30 Hour certification, as well as First Aid and Safety training. Prince is originally from northern Ohio and currently resides in Columbus.
Tony DiBlasi's Bio
Tony DiBlasi serves as a Project Manager for Renier Construction and is responsible for successful project delivery including contract management, cost control and reporting, change order and schedule management, communications and quality control procedures.
DiBlasi's background of over 40 years of experience includes projects up to $30M in construction work including Design-Build, Design/Assist and Project Management contracts. DiBlasi also has extensive experience in Pre-Construction as well as general business operations management. He has successfully managed a wide variety of projects including Automotive, Office, Retail, Restaurant, Hotel, Health and Eldercare, Commercial and Industrial.
DiBlasi received a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Business Administration from The Ohio State University and has completed numerous continuing education programs throughout his career and is a member of the Builder's Exchange of Central Ohio. Additionally, he is a member of the Advisory Board of Directors of North Columbus YMCA, serves on the Building and Grounds Committee of the YMCA and is a founding member and Volunteer Coordinator for the North Y-Service Club. DiBlasi and his wife reside in Westerville, Ohio.
William Plesich's Bio
Bill Plesich's responsibilities include account management and development for Renier's transportation, manufacturing, distribution, industrial, veterinary and medical office clients. He is an integral member of the pre-construction team, helping to ensure that clients' facilities are cost-effective and flexible, and that each client receives the maximum value for their construction investment.
Plesich joined Renier's Design-Build team in 1993. With more than 23 years of design-build construction experience, clients appreciate his extensive industry knowledge, thorough approach and careful attention to each project. Having served the needs of hundreds of clients, he helps craft design-build solutions that fulfill facility requirements and exceed client's expectations.
Plesich brings the same level of commitment and integrity to his volunteer leadership roles as he does to the day-to-day operations of Renier. He is a member of the Greater Columbus, Grandview, Gahanna and Dublin Area Chambers of Commerce, as well as the Columbus Region Logistics Council.
A graduate of the University of Steubenville, Plesich and his wife reside in Columbus.
William Thompson's Bio
As a Project Manager, William Thompson is accountable for accomplishing all of the project objectives from building design through project completion – and doing so within the time and budgetary constraints of the project. Working with Renier’s on-site Superintendent he assists with expediting crews, managing subcontractors, equipment and materials to maximize efficiency and control, and improve the project schedule.
He’s responsible for controlling the project cost, time and quality and overseeing that the project complies with all of those and comes in on time and under budget.
Thompson began his career at Renier as an intern in 2016. Following his graduation, he began as a Project Superintendent, working on a variety of projects throughout the Midwest. His dedication to his craft allowed him to quickly progress and Thompson ascended to his current position of Project Manager in 2018. His military experience adds to his attention to detail on projects, as well as his wisdom from serving two (2) tours in Afghanistan.
He received his Bachelor of Science in Business from The Ohio State University as well as an Associates of Applied Sciences in Construction Management. Thompson is also a U. S. Marine Corp veteran. He received numerous medals for his honorable conduct and overseas service, and was awarded a certificate of honor from Gahanna, Ohio, where he currently resides.
Business Development, Marketing & Sales
Kim Teetzel's Bio
Kim Teetzel's responsibilities include marketing, social media and website management roles as well as traditional administrative support functions for the company. She creates, updates and manages content on the corporate websites, develops & executes social media strategies on numerous platforms and channels, and monitors all of Renier's social media sites and postings. She also designs, produces and distributes marketing pieces for the sales staff (custom, direct and e-mail marketing) generating inbound marketing opportunities, and assists with IT help requests and training on a variety of software, hardware and the FTP site used within the company.
Additionally, Teetzel produces and tracks AIA contracts for clients and subcontractors, manages the client and contact databases, schedules staff travel arrangements, and purchases and maintains internal inventory control.
Teetzel joined Renier in 2007 and has over 30 years experience in marketing, social media strategies, content development, editorial & copywriting, public relations and support functions. She attended Muskingum University and Ohio University and holds a Bachelor's degree in both Marketing and English. She resides in Canal Winchester with her family and is actively involved in her community, volunteering with AngelWorks, The BrockStrong Foundation and Canal Winchester Baseball programs.
Finance & Accounting
Lori A. Rose's Bio
Lori Rose joined Renier In 1993 as an Accounting and Administrative Assistant. Her responsibilities include assisting the Chief Financial Officer with all daily accounting functions for the company. This includes accounts payable and receivable, working with subcontractors on monthly billings, tracking of all lien waivers with subcontractors and their subcontractors, reconciliations and reports, as well as all general accounting functions.
In addition, she coordinates all of the service and maintenance work performed with Renier's in house service department for our clients and customers, and oversees the licensing and title needs of company vehicles. She also serves in an administrative support role for the Renier staff including Project Executives, Managers, and Superintendents as needed.
Lori brings almost 30 years of accounting, finance and controller experience to Renier's accounting department. Prior to joining Renier, she worked as a controller for a local automobile dealership. She attended both Muskingum University and Ohio University and studied Business Administration, and is a Notary Public for the State of Ohio. She currently resides in Pataskala.
Rob Gibbs's Bio
Robert Gibbs joined Renier Construction in 1993 and as chief financial officer he oversees all accounting functions for the company. Throughout a career spanning more than 20 years in accounting within the construction industry, Gibbs is highly regarded by peers and clients for his professionalism, high standards and sensitivity to detail.
He has been instrumental in establishing and maintaining the internal accounting and project controls that help Renier maintain an exceptionally clean lien track record that is unmatched in the industry. Coupled with Renier's open-book bidding process that shares trade contractors' pricing with clients, Gibbs translates Renier's integrity pledge into tangible results.
Clients gain the cost and scheduling benefits of Renier's preferred status and outstanding relationships with vendors and trade contractors due to Gibbs' watchful oversight of project billings and timely payments.
His leadership has been essential to maintaining Renier's financial stability during the challenging economic climate. A certified public accountant, and a Chartered Global Management Accountant, Gibbs is also responsible for cash management, client billing, job cost reporting and reconciliation. He is also responsible for oversight of all insurance certificates, requirements, and notices of commencement and furnishing.
Gibbs attended Bowling Green State University and is a member of the America and Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants as well as the Builders Exchange of Central Ohio. He also serves as Treasurer of Journey Church in Howard, OH and The Watershed Church in Columbus, where he also serves the board .
Other
Blanche Bader's Bio
Blanche Bader joined the Renier team in 2017 working in Accounting and as an Administrative Assistant. She brings over 40 years of experience in construction Accounting and Administrative functions to the team. She assists the Office Manager as well as the Chief Financial Officer with all daily accounting functions for the company.
Additionally, she works with the Estimating team to create AIA contracts for all subcontractors on a project, and manages the follow-up for signatures and contract requirements. This also includes monthly billings, lien waivers and liability insurance coverages. In addition, she also purchases and maintains the internal inventory control for Renier and its divisions.
Blanche attended Ohio University and holds an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration. She is a member of the Pickerington Women of the Moose Chapter 2180, an Auxiliary member of VFW Post 3761, and is also a Notary Public for the State of Ohio. She has four children and four grandchildren and resides in Baltimore, Ohio.
