Scope Of Work

Project Details

With nearly 400,000 square feet of space, Dakota High School serves the educational needs of northern Macomb County. DeMaria overcame significant construction challenges. Low site elevations demanded that the building’s foundation be placed on a higher elevation. Material excavated to create a twenty foot deep lake adjacent to the school was used to raise the building’s elevation. At the time of completion Dakota High School was the largest high school in the country.

Highlights Include:

97-acre site

Twenty foot deep lake was constructed with lake material used to raise building elevation

Load bearing masonry and structural steel on the infrastructure Competition-style swimming pool
