Scope Of Work

The Jolly Boy Saloon/Restaurant Project involved the new construction, renovation and restoration of an existing facility. The scope of work included the complete renovation and restoration of an existing one-story 5,000 sq. ft. historic restaurant. Extensive seismic work was performed including deep foundation anchors, epoxy injection, seismic anchors from existing roof structure to walls, and seismic ties. New plumbing, mechanical, and interior/exterior electric systems were installed. The existing facility was renovated into a modern functioning restaurant while maintaining historic architectural features (restoration of original wall coverings in the dining room that also serves as banquet area, wood wainscots, and replicated period light fixtures). The layout was reconfigured to include a new commercial grade industrial kitchen, two separate dining rooms (with FF&E including dining booths, tables, chairs), a full-service bar, a buffet station, a covered trellis in the outdoor dining area with a custom made stone fire pit, ADA compliant restrooms serving employees and guests. The kitchen was completely gutted and designed to include separate refrigerator and freezer rooms, and a food storage room. Installation of a food service package including stainless steel countertops at preparation areas, stainless steel sinks, and high finished kitchen equipment including, cooking/baking equipment (stovetops, grills, ovens). An outdoor storage structure was constructed to store restaurant supplies and a separate room within to function as a janitorial closet including a floor-mop sink and lockable storage racks for cleaning supplies.
