Scope Of Work
Roche completed an addition and renovation to an existing CDOT building for a new space for Jefferson High School and a new career and technical education center (CTE) for the Weld County School District 6 students.
The 5,246-square-foot building that housed shop space for CDOT was left in place and was renovated to house three CTE programs. The renovation work consisted of demolishing everything within the existing space and rehabilitating the structure including slab replacements, joist reinforcements, roof replacements, brick veneer infills and parapet extensions, and new glazing and overhead doors in the old window openings. The renovated building houses shop space for construction trades, welding, and cosmetology as well as heavy mechanical and electrical systems to support the welding area and construction trades area.
The CDOT administration building and ancillary storage buildings were demolished to make way for the new 44,200-square-foot building that houses additional CTE programs and the Jefferson High School program. The addition connects to the renovated building. The first floor houses day care classrooms, locker rooms, fitness room, art and storage, administration offices, special education classrooms, ECE classrooms, technology and cosmetology classrooms, mechanical rooms, kitchen, and the dining/commons room. The second floor is home to traditional classrooms, science rooms, a business classroom, and an ACE classroom.
