Scope Of Work
Pape-Dawson was responsible for the design and preparation of construction documents for a concrete access roadway expansion, including a ramp and parking improvements, to the East Air Cargo Apron located within the San Antonio International Airport site. The East Air Cargo Apron is located along Wetmore Road at the east end of the airport property. We provided the design and construction documents for a 90-space parking area and approximately 50,000 square feet of apron adjacent to the roadway constructed in the Landside Project. The document included dimensional control, grading, drainage, paving and apron pavement design, and lighting. Overall, Pape-Dawson provided the site layout; topographic and site surveying; grading, drainage, utility, and storm sewer plans; and bid and construction phase services including dimensional control, grading, and drainage at utility construction.
Based on our site design, Pape-Dawson also prepared a drainage report of a proposed United Parcel Service Building to be constructed in the East Air Cargo area. In addition, a traffic signal was reconstructed at the intersection of Wetmore Road and Bitters Road to improve traffic conditions in the area.
