Scope Of Work
Located in Chalmette, Louisiana, the Nunez Community College Kane Technology Wing entailed new construction of a 25,000sf building. Designed by Lachin Architects, this structure is home to the culinary arts school, adult education, computer services, computer education, facilities offices, lounge space, classrooms, supporting office space, and other ancillary spaces. The new building is a slab on grade, pile supported, single story with steel superstructure, and pitched roof. The exterior walls are brick veneer with concrete block backup and weather barrier and rigid insulation within the cavity. Centric furnished and installed a commercial kitchen with walk-in cooler and freezers, food prep areas, and cooking lines with commercial hood in the culinary arts school. Throughout the building Centric provided built-in casework, computer work stations, cabinetry and shelving. Centric also provided the concrete paving at the exterior of the building which served to give access to the breezeway and culinary arts areas.
