15 complex phases that were completed while all 500 children were in school
New addition allowed for elimination of aging portable classrooms
Early phases of construction activity included removal of an existing fuel oil storage tank and installation of a new 10,000 gallon tank and associated electronic monitoring system
Competitive bidding in the early phases yielded savings of over 25%
Designed to LEED Silver standard utilizing daylight harvesting, energy recovery ventilators and DOAS (Dedicated Outdoor Air System) to provide optimal control for all spaces
