Scope Of Work
Garrett Park Elementary School included demolition of 41,175 SF of the existing Elementary school, leaving only the addition constructed in 2006, then building a new two-story addition of a 75,257 SF. The school includes classrooms, music rooms, art room, multipurpose room, gymnasium, kitchen, health offices, administrative offices, and media center, along with new play areas. Surrounding the school is an existing Day Care Building and the Garrett Park Nursery School. All children were moved out of these facilities, and the two surrounding buildings were protected throughout construction. Garrett Park Elementary School is a LEED Silver project with a large element of the certification from a geothermal system put in place to serve the Elementary School and the existing Day Care Building.
