Scope Of Work
Walsh modified the CME trading floor to allow for participants and to consolidate all open outcry trading in one location. The project encompassed a complete or partial demolition seven pits and three high tierings to make way for 20 pits and three high tierings—two which were constructed with structural steel and concrete deck. In addition, a handheld and headset distribution room was constructed at the northwest corner the trading floor. The work was a complete interior remodel a 40,000-square-foot space with installation structural wood and steel members, flooring, wall, stair finishes, steel handrails, a renovated HVAC delivery system, and a complete rewiring the trading floor for low-voltage communication and data cables.
