Scope Of Work
Getting this 108-unit, 404-bed dormitory dried in was a tremendous challenge during the severe winter months of ’02-’03 in Western Maryland. Nevertheless, the project was on time, so the owner could market it and students could move in for the fall semester.
The 146,000 gsf building was constructed on top of grout-filled mines that were 90-100 ft. below ground level. It features primarily four-bed dorm suites, each with bathroom and laundry facilities, and common areas such as a game room, video room, and study lounges. The courtyard features an amphitheater and volleyball court.
