Scope Of Work
Covenant Village Apartments is a development project the New Covenant Fellowship Church in Germantown, Maryland, and is situated on the same two-acre property as the church. It is an L-shaped, four-story, 89-unit building for seniors, with brick face veneer and fiber cement siding. The building has a high level of finishes, with amenities that include a library, community room, living room, TV room, fitness center, game room, computer room, and arts and crafts room. A large courtyard with benches provides a pleasant outdoor area.
Construction challenges included sharing the vehicle entrance and exit with the church, and responding to the ever-changing inspection requirements of Montgomery County. Harkins completed the facility on time and within budget.
