City Signs

We love making custom signs for our clients, and one recent project of ours turned out especially well. The Modesto Bee newspaper needed to refresh its office style, and wanted lettering that would create an attractive look. We used acrylic flat cut out letters (FCOs) to do just that, with great results.

The Modesto Bee is a top-notch source for news, and is also a leader in providing advertising options in Modesto and the central California region. This newspaper is a premier company in many ways, and has an excellent reputation. We wanted our acrylic FCOs to help create an office atmosphere that suited the Bee perfectly.

To create the display for the Modesto Bee, we first consulted with their staff and surveyed their space to make sure we understood what the result should be. We always custom create our sign products, understanding that signs are not a one size fits all product, especially for companies with their own unique branding requirements.

We determined that router cut 1/2" thick acrylic FCO letters stud mounted flush to the wall would be the best choice for this interior display. Our router cutting ensures that signs look sharp, and are completely accurate to the design. We selected and applied a black paint finish to help the letters truly pop against the light-colored wall, which as you can see from the photo, has such contrast that it is very powerful visually.
