Scope Of Work
Built in a little less than a year, Loews Ventana Canyon is a 400,000-square-foot luxury resort constructed at the base of Tucson’s Santa Catalina Mountains. The resort has 398 rooms and suites, ballrooms, meeting rooms, five restaurants and lounges, a complete spa, separate fitness center, two 18-hole golf courses, two swimming pools, a racquet club and eight lighted tennis courts.
Construction was performed within a 15-foot preservation zone to maintain precious Sonoran Desert vegetation. Sundt received numerous for excellence this project including the prestigious Build America , Concrete Excellence and Golden Nugget for best commercial retail project.
The resort is sculpted into the base of the mountains adjacent to an 80-foot natural waterfall. The site includes an artificial lake, preservation of desert plantings and formation of artificial rock.
