Scope Of Work
Project scope: The project scope included construction of three new buildings varying in height from 3 to 7 stories totaling 650,000 sf and a converter house, which is one story in height, 6,000 sf., to serve as a central plant for distribution of primary heating and cooling for the complex.
Project highlights: The project added 1,500 student beds, study lounges, classrooms and 25,000 sf of retail space consisting of a Starbucks, 16 Handles frozen yogurt, an Asian restaurant, Qdoba Mexican Grill, nail salon, technology store, dry cleaners and a small grocery store. One building contains a 7,800 sf movie theater. The buildings have a contemporary appearance and feature natural materials such as brick, stone, wood and even some copper. The interior construction schedule was an aggressive 14 months which was met with Epic’s peak manpower of 160 carpenters.
