Scope Of Work
The South Branch Library was an addition and renovation project for the City of Denton, Texas. The existing library was a 10,771 square foot facility and in the renovation was enlarged to 21,101 square feet. The building addition construction consisted of concrete piers and grade beams, concrete floor, steel structure, metal stud enclosure with masonry veneer, and standing seam metal roofing.
The interior of the existing facility was completely renovated with new paint, ceilings, flooring, and mechanical system upgrades. There were also site improvements, which included additional parking. This project was completed in phases to allow the library to continue operations as long as possible. The facility was closed to the public for only thirty days as renovations to the existing facility were completed in the final phase.
