Scope Of Work

As pharmaceutical research organization Rho, Inc. continues to rapidly expand their operations, a 160,000-SF headquarters is constructed – more than doubling its former headquarters. Located on a 17-acre site within Research Triangle Park, one of the largest research parks in the world, the updated facility has the capacity to house nearly 700 employees.

The modern five-story building features structural steel and a precast and curtainwall exterior. Following the completion of the core and shell building, Choate Interiors completes this striking, modern upfit. Each of the five floors offers a differing layout, with both open and enclosed office spaces. Open group collaboration spaces on each floor promote a fluid, creative working environment. Game room areas offer employees a space for teambuilding or a place to relax.

Encouraging the use of environmentally friendly transportation, charging stations for electric vehicles are installed in the parking areas. Trees which were removed from the building site have been repurposed into featured artwork, architectural elements, and counters in breakroom areas.

To support the work going on within the building, a high-tech server room / data center is installed. The building management system links daylighting and HVAC controls.
