Coordinated the fabrication, delivery and installation of the metal stud modular design with pre-installed M/E/P systems
With an increase in student enrollment and a desire to offer a more traditional college experience, Dutchess Community College decided to build its first student housing complex. The 465-bed residence was constructed using an off-site modular construction method which allowed for minimum disruptions to campus life. The modular construction method is also environmentally friendly, contributes to LEED eligibility and promotes sustainability.
The residence hall, constructed of noncombustible materials, features spacious suite-style units with assorted bedroom configurations, one to two bathrooms, kitchenette and living room. It also includes lounges on each floor, a multi-purpose atrium, fitness center, laundry facilities and other amenities.
The project also included geothermal heating and cooling of the building in an environmentally friendly manner.
