Scope Of Work
Circuit City was located in the The Arboretum of South Barrington, an upscale, 86-acre lifestyle center of restaurants and shops at the northeast corner of Route 59 and Higgins Road.
This 22,000 SF high-end electronic retail space was built with precast concrete and a brick facade. Work included 3 offices, a tech center, bathrooms, a break room, a receiving /loading dock and a glass enclosed custom sound room. ICI also constructed the Firedog Shop, which allows customers access to electronic technicians.
ICI provided all mechanical, electrical and plumbing for the site.
ICI successfully completed Circuit City under a tight 4 month construction schedule. The store was open for business in time for The Aboretum’s grand opening weekend.
The Arboretum of South Barrington boasts high profile apparel brands, home furnishings, restaurants and a luxury cinema. The Arboretum is a 600,000 square foot, open-air town center featuring architecture and style reminiscent of the past.
