Scope Of Work
Menards is the 3rd largest home improvement supply and materials store in the United States. They have mastered the ability to retain charm and unique character difficult to find in chain stores. Menards was founded in 1960 as a family business, headquartered in Eau Claire, Wisconsin and had a revenue of $7.9 billion in 2013. Menards has retained a family owned business atmosphere even though they have over 43,000 employees. There are over 310 stores located in 14 states.
Carlson-Construction was awarded the project to oversee the design and construction of a large Prototype 5 store. This included ensuring the standardized design of this type of store met local zoning ordinances and construction standards. We were responsible for the building exterior, interior and the systems within. This included laying utility lines, structural columns, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.
